Hidden Staging Yard

My previous layout had a 6 track staging yard (can be viewed in old layout section) which was located in the closet off the layout room.  It was a stub end which made it also act as a fiddle yard as each train had to be broken down and reversed by hand.  My new hidden staging yard is actually a reconfiguration of my grandfathers staging yard which was also dismantled this past year.  It will be a 6 track loop with each track long enough to hold two trains varying from 11 cars to 15 cars in length.  It will also be an in out system to handle east and west bound entry and departures from Windsor or Toronto.  Here you can see the ladder ends being positioned and the spline work in progress.

As I continue building the staging yard, I will provide updates with my progress.  Stay tuned!!!
